Cuddly Buddly Dancing Fairy

The the weather is fab at the moment I have sort of a funny story for you It wasnt so funny at first but got to laugh
My 8yr old wanted his hair but because it is so hot, my 20yr old said I will do it for you mum with the clippers, "ok" I said, as it is just a case of running it over his head with the right attachment on it.
Well all went well I was in my crafty place probably not a good idea but hey in hindsight lol,
my 20 yr old came out to me and said mum the blade fell off and Toby has a bold patch at the back of his head OMG!!
Well went into the kitchen to see my poor 8yr old sat there with big patch on his head
I ended up having to give him a number 1 cut all over his head to try to hide it  there is still a patch there but it is not as noticeable now lol, that will teach me, my 20yr old thought it was funny. Good job they have finished school for the summer.

who am I kidding lol you can still see it
just thought I would share it with you can see the funny side now

Right onto my card for today

Wee ride your bike

Gosh what an evening my poor little boy has had a bad cough like me but he has asthma to he has had a chesty cough and a fully blocked nose for the past to weeks he has pretty much gone down hill
yesterday he came home from school looking absolutely shattered, this morning he seemed to pick up a bit so he went to school but when he came home he was white as a sheet and wheezing every time he breathed he coughed he used his inhaler which seemed to help, but just in case I though well this has gone on long enough so called Docs for appointment expecting to be seen next week, shock horror she said can you be here in in 10 min's lucky I only live around the corner.
When we got into docs he was absolutely fantastic he checked him over fully, he was worried Toby had pneumonia he glands where swollen his ears red inside little crackled on one off his lungs he said he defiantly had a cold but he was bit worried about him asthma to so he has put him on fast burst reacting steroids poor luv had to take 8 tablets in one go I nearly fell of the chair he has to do it again tomorrow and then the day after he also said he probably wont sleep tonight cause of the steroids no school for him I felt really bad I just though he had a lingering cough bad Mummy lol he is in fact fast asleep next to me in my bed as he is shattered again, he breaks up on Friday so think I might as well keep him off for rest of week which give his teacher something to moan about as she not to keen on me.
Anyways hope you dont mind me sharing with you he looks so sweet bless him fast asleep

So my Card for you today is another Kit I got from Heather Hobby Haven

The image is one of the fab Wee stamps for Sylvia Zet I coloured her with my Distress inks
Looking at it now I don't think I am putting enough ink on my images as they look a bit to pale will have try it again. I changed the kit up abit and added some flowers and stitching to the card.
This week I got from Craftwork Cards these fab blank tickets that all you need to do is ink up and ink the edges they are really cheap to love them.
The Card kit included the lovely ribbon I love these kits it just a shame they are in the US as I got stung with the customs bill with the last one I got lol boo hoo but hey not there fault.
there you go hope you  like the card I will be back tomorrow so pop back

Hi all well weekend is over boo hoo back they go so quick lol
well today I have been quite busy craft wise anyway I made 4 cards today and to be honest not sure I am happy with them, never mind I always say us crafters are our own worst critics to make it worse when I took the pictures of them is was dark outside so they didn't photo very well to many shadows so will retake tomorrow but I want to get this post up.

I found a Digi stamp shop called Little Pink Stamps I bought some digi's from them and boy are they fab I love the quirky look of there faces

She is just fab I coloured her with Copics then added some glitter to her dress shame you cant really see it
The DP is from the new Magnolia range ~I love them to stunning
I punched the butterfly with Martha Stewart Punch then sprayed it with spray and sparkle but then noticed can had run out lol and no sparkle so I sprinkle with glammour dust and let it dry very sparkly again you cant see the sparkle very well which is a shame cause it is lush lol.
The die is a Marianne vine leaf die

LOTV fairy and some colouring tips

Hi folks hope the week is going ok for you I am off to look for a new car today not sure what to get but it needs to be one I can get in ok cause I have no kneecaps lol so it cant be to low down I have a Qashai at them mo which I like so might look for something similar
So lets get to the business of why I am here lol to show you another card I have made
The papers are from HOTP flower pad
the pins I made my self
flowers from Mulberry crafts
lace my stash
pearl beads good old ebay
Ribbon from the ribbon girl
pink crystal bead the range, it had bit of pink felt around it but it was to tacky so I cut it off lol
leaf punch Martha Stewart

So today I have used a cute Lili of the valley stamp and I have coloured with copics but with minimal colours and my colourerless blender. To show you how if you don't have a big collection yet or are buying on a budget you can still get good results.
My advice to anyone starting out with copics its to buy skin tones first and a few paler colours as they are easier to blend with fewer pens than darker ones and a must is your blender pen
So with the leaves I used one green copic and a blender pen
the dress, wings, shoes, socks and flowers with one pink colour and the blender pen
the hair with one brown copic and you guessed it a blender pen and I went around the image with a light blue copic. I used the pen to pen technic to give different depths of colour in order to give a blended feel
pen to pen means you take a lighter colour to a darker colour to make a mid colour. so with the dress  I used my blender as my brush  and used my pink as my colour hope this makes sense. This means you can still get a blended look but with only two or one pens depending on what you have till you build up your collection. I am a sad compulsive crafter and have all the other alcohol markers on the scene and this can be done with anyone of the, I am just greedy lol.
For the skin I wouldn't scrimp on when buying your first pens I normally use E000 E00 E21 E11 and R20 for pink cheeks with R30 to blend it in. There are various other combos for skin like E000 E00 E01 it all depends on how light or dark you want the face.
The other thing I could not do without it my marker chart this is fab for when you are buying your pens as you can see which ones you have already.  I forgot how many repeats I bought when I was starting my collection when I didnt have a chart. I also use it for matching colours with papers and for picking colours that are going to blend well together once you get more practice have little swatch book to to put in your fav colour blends hey nothing like being an organised crafter. I have added some blank colour charts or links as to where you can get them, for copics, promarkers fleximarkers and spectrum Noir feel free to snag them on my Tutorial page there is also a new Distress inks post as well which I will also add resources as a when I make or find some.

so hope you found this post helpful and you also like my card

This card is a kit From Heathers Hobbie Haven I have coloured her with Distress Markers
I have got the skin down now I am happy with that the cloths also but grrrr I am still having trouble with the hair infuture I will colour the hair first rather than do a whole image then mess up the hair so any way
I used
Distress Markers Scattered Ross for the face and then a bit of Tea Dye for the highlights
the cheeks are done with Worn Lipstick.
The Dress is With broken china as is the shoes.
the flowers with vintage photo, scattered straw and wild honey I then coloured over the petals with a gold spica pen.
The hat is punic stone and the band broken china I added some clear spica to the band
Around the image is Broken glass.

the hair started off with scattered straw then some vingate photo then some walnut stain then with the fine tip but I am so not happy with it

any ways I am not sure what the papers are as it came it the kit I got as a freebie I added some sunflowers from my stash and some ivory ribbon
The pin I made myself
I am not to sure pic is clear enough I will try and take another tomorrow and re-add it (gosh I am fussy)
so there you go my lovely
